Perfect. Has never let me down.

The latest version finally makes this app worthy of a five star rating. At last it is multi-task capable. No more leaving the app to have to start from scratch when you return! The other improvements are welcome as well but the multi-tasking ability is the most important. I started with the cheaper version of this dictionary and upgraded to this one. I recommend that if you are thinking of getting the cheaper one, dont. Just go straight to this version. Having 50,000 words with audio makes it well worth it. In the cheaper version, most of the words dont have audio and getting the additional 40,000 words with audio is well worth the extra $15.

It does not work on iPhone 3G after upgrading from 2.xx version. It wont just start... The developers should test their apps for compatibility before claiming they support a particular version of iPhone.

The dictionary itself is great! Well worth its cost. Although, the last update does not look as cool as the previous version. Yes, exactly "look". The only advantage of updating is multitasking. It would be great if the next update could bring menu customization options!

Wow! It works great on my iPhone 3G -- no problems at all. I use the flashcards and the reference guides for the conjugation endings along with my Silver 555 and Katsners. I wish there was a section that focused just on roots, prefixes, suffixes, and endings though. Perhaps it does and I havent found it yet. Either way, I love this app! It helped me so much during studying for my minor in Russian as well as my internship in Russia. I hope other will find it to be amazing like I have^.^

Ive been studying Russian for two years and have lived in Russia in the mean time. I think this is a great app but there were a few things i was very disappointed about. It has a great line up of words but how do you know how to use them!? For example 1. In this language you need to know if your word is perfected time or not 2. you need to know what case the word forces, for example овладевать forces instrumental, Its great it has examples for that but its nicer to just have the abbreviation + inst or something that would help the user know how to use his new word and not speak funny because they know the word but dont know how to use it right. Those things are very important to know. Also all the abbreviations is there a guide for all of them? These things can get fixed and will make this app much more effective! Im waiting for the new one being better!

Being a native english speaker its good, but in some ways the Pons is better. the fundamentals are the same but the library layout is superior. Will probably use this as back up to the Pons and others rather than primary. Would like more declinasion and translate usage.

Best investiment I ever made for my Russian class and for my trip to russia! Very very helpful! The update makes the program look very clean. The only thing I have a problem with is the italicized Russian words. Usually they are abreviated so I have no way of knowing what they mean. It would be helpful to have a key that defines them all. Rather then that it is great! I use it multiple times a day!

This most recent update changed the keyboard layout and split it into two parts. This feature is not changeable. There is no option in the settings to go back to the old version. Ive been using this dictionary in my classes for almost 1.5 years now and this update makes me want a refund! I would hold off on purchasing this app until this is fixed.

I would be lost in Russia without this app! Buy it, use it. Worth every penny.

After much research and customer comment searching I bought this app. I was a little concerned by comments on past versions. However, the app is all that I hoped for to help understand and learn both Russian and English. I am using iPad 2 with OS 5.1. The app pronounces both Russian and English perfectly and has an easy interface. The only problem I experienced was the sound did not work at first. My sounds was on but in the general - sounds settings I clicked unlock sounds and the app audio worked fine. It is clear that Paragon has continued to improve this app and answered the negatives found in comments for past versions. It is solid and I am happy - best dictionary with audio I have found.

I purchased this app while it was on sale for $10.99 on January 28 at 9:00 pm mountain standard time. Why did you charge me the full price? That is not very honest... Your website does not have support for customers and there is no email address Please credit me the difference. If you do not credit me the difference, I will dispute the transaction and place a very negative feedback on all of my blogs....This is not my wish, but if you push me I will do it. I need my money back. I hope this is a mistake and you correct it.

Sound stop working after iOS 5.1 iPad upgrade. Please fix.

It seems to me that after it had been updated yesterday it has started to translate little slower, pitiful if I right Thanks for such a beautiful item!

Great software, but the latest update doesnt work! Please re-release it, this is an expensive dictionary and its only worth it if its functioning.

Until this week I rated this app 5 star. Since the last update neither my husband nor I can open this app on our devices. We live overseas and so this is extremely frustrating. What should we do?

Good dictionary. The only thing it needs is stress marks in the noun and verb charts and itll be perfect. That shouldnt be too hard to implement.

this is an excellent program overall; there are some missing common words such as рассказ, рассказывать, рассказать...not sure how that happened ... Newest version continues to be missing these words and some verbs are not conjugated in tables; difficult to figure out conjugations if words are new to reader. Still would highly recommend.

I like this app, but I would suggest the following improvements: The voice is too low. This makes it difficult to discern details of the pronunciation. Conjugations are not provided for all verbs, including some very common verbs. Conjugations and declensions accents should be show in red. This is very important! Also, ё is sometimes entered as ё and sometimes as e. All should be ё. The transitions between screens should be faster. Also, there is no explanation that I can find for the several abbreviations used in Russian. Entries concerning prefixes would be good too. Also, here is little guidance on usage. For example, if a verb requires the instrumental case this should be noted.
